Tunnel Connectivity

AS30265 offers IP transit over GRE, L2TP, or IPSec tunnels that run on any existing Internet connection, without physical infrastructure or an IDC presence.

Tunnel Connectivity is not a VPN service, and it is not for bypassing geographic restrictions on content.

CPE requirements

  • Existing Internet connection with a public IPv4 address
  • Tunnel client capability for the chosen encapsulation (GRE, L2TP, or IPSec)
  • IPv6 support with SLAAC and/or DHCPv6-PD for prefix delegation
  • 464XLAT (CLAT) support for IPv4 connectivity via NAT64 (optional)

Tunnel Connectivity is typically available only to Canadian subscribers.

A BGP session over the Tunnel is also available, for announcing your own IPv4 or IPv6 Prefixes to the global routing table with Bring-your-own-IP (BYOIP). Both address families are carried over a single IPv6 session. A BYOIP Allocation must be internet eligible. See Advanced setup - BGP + BYOIP.
